Sacramento, California (Hmong Report At 7) – May Song Vang, the wife of the late General Vang Pao, the leader of the Hmong community in the United States, has died. She passed away last night Monday, Aught 5 at 10:30pm at UC Irvine Medical Center in Santa Ana, California. She passed away from an old illness “cancer”. She was 62 years old.

Today, the Hmong community throughout United States and the world is deeply saddened by the loss of Mrs. Gen. Vang Pao, who was a hero to Hmong women and the Hmong community all across the country. She was the voice and an iconic figure for Hmong after Gen. Vang Pao passed away in early 2011.
